Hello there tea lovers and artisans! Let’s get brewing with some tips on how to write a product description that’ll make your taste buds dance!
I’ve written hundreds of product copy and labels for beverages, teas included. I’m going to share with you my ways of doing things as a copywriter. If you’re a tea seller, you might find these handy!
First up, let’s start with the smells – oh yeah, we’re talking about the tantalizing aromas that’ll have you drooling before you even take a sip. Use words like “earthy,” “floral,” “fruity,” or “spicy” to give your customers a whiff of what they’re in for. Is the scent subtle or strong? Let them know!
Now, onto the taste – we’re talking about the sensations that’ll have you saying “mmm” with every sip. Words like “smooth,” “bitter,” “bold,” or “creamy” will give your customers a taste of what’s to come. Is it caffeinated? Are there any special flavors or ingredients that’ll make their taste buds tingle with delight?
There’s more! Tea is more than just a beverage, it’s an experience. Whether it’s relaxing, rejuvenating, or comforting, emphasize the feeling that your tea provides. Let your customers know how they’ll be feeling after their first sip – refreshed, invigorated, or perfectly chilled out.
But don’t just stop there – research the competition and your market. Find out what’s hot and what’s not, and use that information to make your product stand out. Are you offering unique blends or flavors that aren’t widely available? Do you have a special production process that sets your tea apart from the rest? Highlight these selling points to give your customers something they can’t find anywhere else.
